The mission of the Unnamed Writers' Group is to help writers write (whether published, prepublished or unpublished) and provide education, inspiration, support and connections to writers and to the community.

It doesn't get much simpler than that, but here are the strict and demanding membership requirements:

• You have to write.
• You have to care about writing and writers.
• Oh, and you have to pay your annual dues...

New Meeting Location as of Saturday, 11/8/08.

Don't be left behind! We do not want you to miss any UWG meetings. We are moving to the Larry Johnson Community Center located in Sparks at Oddie Blvd & 12th Street across from the Sparks Library. This location is easily accessible on Citifare and from all highways. Coffee and refreshments can be had in the surrounding neighborhood. The doors open at 9am. Please contact a board member if you need directions or just mapquest 1200 12th Street, 89431.

November 8th: Meet & Greet!

Get Your 60 Seconds of Fame to Sell Yourself and Your Wares!

9am kicks it off with light refreshments. The actual "60 Seconds of Fame" will commence at 10am. Remember, only 60 seconds, so practice, practice! All genre writers, magazine owners/editors, songwriters, free-lance writers, poets, memoirs/life stories, journalists, course instructors, legal beagles, financial planners and photographers are welcome. It is membership drive time, so if you are not a member, your tax deductible donation of $25 will make you a member or members can renew their dues here, too. Support staff and spouses are welcome at no charge, so please, the more the merrier! Help with refreshments or cleanup? We'd greatly appreciate it.
